Travelogue Prologue [Trevor]: In the early Spring, my Mum indicated she wanted to come up to the Yukon for a visit. I had been thinking of hiking the Chilkoot Trail and semi-jokingly asked if she'd be interested, temporarily forgetting how driven my mum can be to tackle any challenge. Several test hikes later with my Dad, she admitted that her hips weren't up to it. Wanting to maintain the spirit of the adventure and challenge, we decided to canoe the Yukon River from Minto Landing to Dawson City, the legendary destination of the Yukon gold fields. It may have been a crazy idea, but hell... it was worth it. The following pages were written by my Mum and Photographed by myself. Your comments are welcome, so feel free to e-mail us.
